Baptism and Confirmation
Thinking of getting baptized or confirmed?
We’re inviting anyone who wants to explore it to get in touch with us— no pressure, just a chance to ask questions and take a step if you’re ready.
So what's the difference between baptism and confirmation?
Baptism is the beginning. It’s a public step of faith — a way of saying “yes” to following Jesus and becoming part of the church family. If you’ve never been baptised, this is where you start.
Confirmation comes later. For those who were baptised as children, it’s about making an intentional choice to follow Jesus. For others, it’s a way of strengthening and affirming their faith journey.
Whether you’re just curious, ready to take the next step, or somewhere in between — we’d love to walk alongside you. Contact us by phone: (04) 476 7137, or email: stnup@xtra.co.nz.
