Confirmation Classes
We had our second Confirmation class on Sunday 14th June following worship with two children and one adult. The adult was baptised and confirmed years ago but has demonstrated an interest in reconfirming her faith with others – how cool is that!?!
In our one-hour class, we shared kai, created a list of God’s attributes, played a Bible game, and read the Good Samaritan in four different Bible translations (after finding it by book, chapter, and verses when present). We were surprised to find that The Message doesn’t use verses! Our homework this week is to find out how many books are in the Old and New Testaments and list them in order in our Confirmation journals. Even if you’re not in our Confirmation class, you can give this challenge a go!
If you’re interested in joining us, it’s not too late. We will be accepting new participants through the end of June.
